Higher Cohomologies of Commutative Monoids

Extending Eilenberg-Mac Lane’s methods, higher level cohomologies for commutative monoids are introduced and studied. Relationships with pre-existing theories (Leech, Grillet, etc.) are stated. The paper includes a cohomological classification for symmetric monoidal groupoids and explicit computations for cyclic monoids.

One - Dimensional Affine Group Schemes

The construction of these groups is straightforward; to an algebra B we assign the quotient R,,, G,/G,. The main effort comes in showing that these are the only possibilities. The key to this, and the basic technical idea in the paper, is the use of N&on blow-ups of group schemes over valuation rings. This process has been used before [ 1, 21 as a tool for resolving singularities, but in fact i...

Resolutions and Cohomologies of Toric Sheaves. The affine case

We study equivariant resolutions and local cohomologies of toric sheaves for affine toric varieties, where our focus is on the construction of new examples of indecomposable maximal Cohen-Macaulay modules of higher rank. A result of Klyachko states that the category of reflexive toric sheaves is equivalent to the category of vector spaces together with a certain family of filtrations. Within th...

a note on the affine subgroup of the symplectic group

we examine the symplectic group $sp_{2m}(q)$ and its correspondingaffine subgroup. we construct the affine subgroup and show that itis a split extension. as an illustration of the above we study theaffine subgroup $2^5{:}sp_4(2)$ of the group $sp_6(2)$.
